Advice needed please....

My daughter was 7 weeks prem but is now 10 weeks old, feeding is a constant struggle.

She has now been put on Neocate milk as she has a suspected Cows Milk Allergy. She was crying in the evenings and bringing up her feeds.

She is now on Gaviscon Infant and has stopped bringing up her feeds. This hasn't helped with the crying.

Each feed takes about an hour to settle her after. With crying and drawing up her legs. Have started her on Infacol but 24 hours in it has made no difference.

Does anyone have any advice? Same symptoms? I hate to see her in pain, I am sure she should be starting to smile, but as she is in pain I think this is holding her back!!

Its good that you are already on Neocate. She needs stronger meds for the reflux like Omeprazole. Go back to gp x

Yep, I second increasing her meds. DS was like this until we got him on the max dose and almost overnight he improved. Now we're weaning him off them so it won't last for ever. Hang in there, I know how hard it is x

What brand of bottles are you using? If she swallows a lot of air when she eats it's only gonna make it worse. DD tends to get really windy because she drinks really fast, so I tried dr Brown's bottles and it made a huge difference!!

She has always been on Tommee Tippee bottles, we did try the Dr Brown's bottles, but didn't make any difference.
Went back to GP today and he is going to talk to the paediatrician to see if omeprazole is the best thing to prescribe her and also refer her to get checked out.
Luckily she sleeps great at night so we are getting a reasonable amount of sleep, it's just during the day that she will only sleep in someone's arms and only sleeps for 1/2 hour at a time...
