crying in pain when picked up

Hi there

I'm just wondering if anyone can help. My LO seems to scream in pain when held under the arms for more than a few seconds. She's fine if I pick her up (e.g from her cot) like this but if someone holds her for too long or tries to bounce her standing up she brings her legs up and clenches her fists and screams in pain. She's 12 weeks old and has had bad wind/colic since she was born (not sure if it's related).

People say so me 'well you wouldn't like to be picked up like that' and she's quite a small baby but i'm worried there's something wrong...

i would take her to the doctors! she may have a problem with her shoulders.

Have you checked to see if she's got any kind of rash under her arms, maybe from clothes rubbing or digging in? Picking her up under the arms might irritate it. Good luck! x
