Not the baby, but me:cry:
I have been feeling very teary ever since we came home from the hospital. It seems that I have one or two crying spells a day.
There is nothing bothering me really, I just feel sad and I have the urge to cry.

I am hoping that going out by myself for the first will help a little, because I don't like feeling this way when this is one of the happiest times in my life.

:hugs: Big hugs, hun! I know exactly how you mean with the not wanting to feel sad when this should be one of the happiest times of your life - I keep trying so hard not to let myself get down! - but people tell me (and I'll tell you the same!) that it's okay (and expected, even) to get a little emotional and teary in these first few weeks - It's an overwhelming experience - even if you can't pinpoint what's wrong (maybe nothing is), you're bound to feel a bit emotional to say the least... Try not to feel bad for it - you don't feel sad all the time and you know that this will pass - just go with it, cry when you need to and enjoy the rest of the time you have with your new family.

I think getting out is a good idea - I try to get out of the house as much as possible as I find being cooped up in here drives me crazy since I had Anna - going out gives me a sence of freedom and reminds me that we can still get out and do anything we want even with a baby... (and detracts from the housework and other things that need doing  lol).

I really hope you feel better soon, hun :hugs: If you ever want to talk about anything specific you can always pm me if you think it might help...

Just try not to loose sight of that this is a temporary feeling, and you will feel better soon - and there is nothing wrong with feeling the way you do - it is perfectly normal and okay.

its completely normal to feel that way in the first few weeks it is just your hormones the mw told me if your breastfeeding it especially happens due to a hormone that brings the milk in but once that settles down you feel way better mine happened at about 5 days after having tyler till bout day 13 but then i was fine hope you feel better soon.

I find myself crying sometimes out of nowhere, I think it's from the lack of sleep. Sometimes I cry because my body still hurts and I want to feel better so I can enjoy my time with baby more. I hope that you start feeling better soon hun and know that you are not alone on this one. :hugs:

Thanks girls, I appreciate your advice.
I just had a big make-out session with the hubby, and that definitely helped out a lot.

I think it will pass, I just need some time to absorb everything that has happened in the recent days.

Oddly enough a make-out session sounds nice right about now.

:hugs: let it out hun, it's perfectly normal. Making out helps loads ;)
