Hi everyone! My baby was born at 36+2 weeks and is now two weeks old. He is completely healthy...only has issues with breastfeeding and latching.

I noticed his pinky fingers are nth curved in a bit. Has anyone noticed that on their newborn? Wondering if it's because he was a little preemie and if it will eventually go away.

I don't know. We noticed that with our lo, but it's a family trait with us! Lol x

It's a family trait with us too. Grandad, dad, me & my brothers and our children all have it.

Could be camptodactyly - where the fingers (generally the little, sometimes the ring, and uncommonly the other fingers) are stuck in a bent position, often runs in families, but not always, generally doesn't require treatment, but can respond to splinting if severe enough to warrant it.

(I'm a hand therapist! :))

i have this and so does my uncle!! must look more closely at lb's hands to see if he does (haven't thought in the last 10monts to do it :haha:

i think it's cute!

my pinkies curve inward, always have.

my niece (10 months) her pinky toes curl over her other toes :)
