I had my CVS on Thursday last week, after a nuchal fold of 4.2mm and possible cyctic hygroma was picked up on my dating scan (I wrote on the main pregnancy forum about this) and have just been a big ball of nerves ever since. I was told I would get the quick results on Tuesday or Wednesday this week but instead had a call yesterday from the consultant telling me that the sample couldn't be read correctly as too many of my own cells were mixed in with the sample. I had to make a mad dash across Cardiff to Llandough hospital for a blood sample to be taken which was then couriered to Bristol Fetal Medicine labs so that they could work out what was me and what was from the fetus!

I now have to wait for the full karotype to get my results which might be Monday but might take as long as Thursday - two weeks after my CVS. I am going mad waiting for these results, time since last Monday just seems to have stood still and I can't believe that I still don't know anymore than I did ten days ago :(

Waiting is awful. I haven't had CVS testing, but I had an amnio and genetic testing done. Both I had to wait at least 2 weeks to get results from.

Awwww, I am sorry that it is going to take longer before you get the results. It is so stressful.

I am currently waiting for the results of my amnio, although I just had the procedure done 2 days ago so I know I am waiting at least another 10-14 days or so.

I hope everything works out well for you. Update us when you can.

I'm sorry that your having to go through this, the waiting is unbearable, not knowing! I know what you are going through, I had NT measurement of 9.5mm with septated cystic hygroma and trunk odema... my Amnio results came back negative.

I hope your not waiting to much longer
