Does a single cyst prevent pregnancy,,,i really need a difinte answer ladies cz im soo confused

Depends what type of cyst it is hun and how big it is.. please give more info

No, a single cyst can not prevent pregnancy as long as it is not blocking the cervix or womb off. If the cyst is on a ovary, it can not prevent pregnancy xxx

i dont know what kind of cyst it is but its on my left ovary and the doctor said that i dont need an operation she prescribed provera and i will be starting it wen i get my perios...i hope i will become pregnant this month inorder to not take them :(

Well I can tell you straight away it does not prevent pregnancy. I had my first scan last week and they found a 11 cm cyst!!! they said it is within the acceptable range when pregnant but I need to be monitored.

I guess at some point I'll have it removed!

So don't worry !

Cxxx

A cyst cant prevent pregnancy, as you can still ovulate from the other side. A cyst is caused when the egg prepares to be released, but doesn't pop off as it should and instead it fills with fluid or blood. When I had cysts it prevented my period from coming, though. Most of them resolve themselves, only when it's larger do they worry about things like the twisting of the fallopian tubes.

I was told by my doc that cysts during pregnancy typically resolve themselves after 12 weeks, and are pretty common. Especially if it's the corpus luteum cyst--everyone gets that. Before the placenta takes over its a main source of progesterone.

thnks ladies but one more question...do u get pain in lower abdomen from cysts or im just feeling ovulation cz my breast are also sore??

I had a discomfort type pain. It wasnt until it ruptured that the real agony came.

*forgot to say, just be careful with sex, because it's common for it to cause rupturing. Every time I had one, sex caused it!

I dont want to scare you but its not as simple as it doesnt cause issues. As the lady above said a cyst can twist on it self and it can start to give u loads of pain and the worst it could kill the supply of blood to ovary. This is how some ladies lose an ovary.

BUT as long as everything is ok and it aint and endometriosis cyst u should be fine. Most cysts are not cancerous well almost all arent.

Yes i did get pain like a stabbing pain when i had my endo/dermoid cyst around ovulation. So thats pretty normal hun.

I would find out what type of cyst it is and go from there. As some cysts are just simple cysts, and its not an issue, PCOS ladies can have cysts its totally different from endometriosis ladies. U can have dermoid cysts that just keep growing and it wont go away on its own. There are so many types hun, get the type of cyst from your dr and google away :)
