i posted last week that my routine reassurance scan at 16 weeks showed a mass the believed to be of renal origin (enlarged kidney)
we went to Lister hospital to have a specailist scan and see what was going on..
Lister confirmed is not a kidney problem and feel it maybe connected to the bowel

we was sent to university city of london hospital that afternoon and told to prepare for the worst...
concern was that in a week it had gone from 3x2cm to 4x4cm
they feel if it gets much bigger it could squash other organs and removal might be unsuccesful as it may damage the bowel

Was scanned at UCL by a sonographer, then a consultant and then they called a profressor in...
none of them had seen it before
they said its strange because its well defined but not solid wen baby moved the mass moved like a lump of jelly....
they also thinks its connected to the bowel but still unsure....
they want to leave it till 7th june wen i will be rescanned at UCL to check its size...
im so confused... i feel reassured tht they are leaving it 4 weeks almost... and that the notes say the history is vvariable and that it may resolve in pregnancy... but at the same time i know its one of those things and if i lose baby it cant be stopped so no point scanning every five mins?
i dont know how to feel right now and i know nobody will be able to give me answers however if anyone is in the know about songrapher notes and can help explain what they mean that miight help.....
