Thats all I hear. Can someone please tell my son he has a mum too loool. Jealous mummy here xD xx

Lol! Up until today my lo has enjoyed squealing at a pitch meant for dogs to hear I think, now she has decided that she can 'talk' non stop! She has a dummy very occasionally and has spent the day saying 'do-do' xx

Lol its funny we encourage talking now but in a few years we will be telling them to shut up :)

Oakley's only recently started saying "mamama" :haha: FINALLY!

Before it was "dadada", "bababa" and my fave up until now "blebleble" :p

Totally understand...all I get is DADADADA (even at 5am when she wakes)....noooo its mamamamama please!! :) (still quite cute though!)

Snap. I use it to my advantage though....

Who do you want to change your bum?

DADDD!!!!!

Who do you want to get up with you this morning?

DADA!

I always win ;)

I'm bound and determined for LO's first word to be mama. I say over and over all day. Now I swear when he cries it sounds like he says it, like he knows if he does I'll come get him. My nephew is 22 months and still doesn't say mama. Drives My SIL nuts because he'll say dada but then my brother is a lot more nurturing than she is and dada is probably easier for them to say (although he does say bunchbob for Spongebob lol).

My LO still doesn't say mama! It drives mad, yesterday I swear he said daddy as apposed to dada when oh left to go to work. I was like oh no you don't. He can say I couple of other things as well, and makes lots of sounds. I've noticed that he doesn't make any 'm' sounds at all though. I spend most of car journeys etc, just saying 'mamama' over and over lol I can't wait for him to say it.

Haha, I'm going to use that, as OH Is so smug as well that he says dada and not mama.

Yep no mama for me yet!! But dada all the time and we think he says 'eda' for the cats- even they get a word!!!!

my lo does the same. dadadadadada ....

I think the d sound is easier to do than the m ... I read it somewhere babies usually say dadadadadada before mamamamamama simply because its easier to say.

Most babies say dadadada first s it's easier to say unfortunately (really does suck lol) my DD1 was the same I was gutted lol xxx

My LO has said mamama a few times, but he says it really aggressively so I don't know what I've done to upset him! He mostly says bababa or dadada though. At the moment he's practising gagaga over and over though.

Aww super cute! I've been waiting ages for Holly to say anything but all she says is 'ba!' I have no idea who this Ba is! :haha:

I got a mama before he started saying dada! But now that hr has discovered dada I rarely hear mama anymore. However, he does say nanananana when he wants booby :D

Mama was Lily's first word.... Then Nana and recently it's been Dada. I'm enjoying the break from the constant 'Mamamamama' to be honest! Haha

hahahaha I've been thinking this for at least 3 weeks now! The closest thing to 'mum' is when LO is crying out for me!!

LMAO

I am so stealing the idea too of taking advantage of the dada thing for bum changes & early mornings

Ozzy says "mamamamama", but only when he really wants breastmilk. :growlmad:
