to give jack a bottle of expressed milk and jack is not very keen at all he keeps having a few sucks then pushing it away. think he loves mummys booby more x:blush:

well in the end jack got very upset and i ended up bfing him x i tired to change from my boob to bottle but he noticed. gonna try again tonight x

teddy is the same - just refuses the bottle. which is a shame as he used to not mind them. it can be a pain, like today when he was constipated and I wanted to give him some water - he just wouldnt take it! I'm going to try it in his new big-boy tommy tippee beaker.

tiny toes thats i good idea i might get a big boy cup

Is that the first time you have tried him on a bottle?

What bottles have you got - just curious - I never breastfed so have no advice sorry:blush: Good luck with it anyway!!

Skye was very funny with bottles for ages, but I had to go back to work in the mornings, and im in the process of moving house so other people have had her a lot and she is finally getting used to them now. Perservere and you will get there! Im also using the closer to nature ones btw.

Kayleigh wouldn't touch the bottle at first. We have since tried a number of times with both expressed and formula. We tried formula the first time and she wouldn't touch it. Then we did expressed milk and she was okay with it and then when we were out once she had formula and was okay with it. However, it did take a few tries and we left some time in between and we made sure with the follow-up tries she was really hungry when it was offered.

Sometimes, she fights first but she usually takes it eventually. She seems to sometimes just have to adjust to a different sucking tempo and method.

The other thing that I just thought of but I have not a clue if it's anything. When hubby is feeding, I'm usually not in the room for very long as I take this time to escape and take a shower, use the bathroom, clean, etc. plus we've also seen it as Daddy bonding time so, I only am close by if he needs me to help with something with her.

Don't know if that makes any sense or if it is any help!!

Good luck to you!! :)

the closer to nature ones x

Ahh - I always wondered if they worked (mimicking the breast shape I mean) - Jack had them, but we had to change to Dr Browns as he was struggling with them, filling up with wind half way through bottle.
