Daddy's last name is 3 words long (insane I know), and I'm sure as heck not adding my 4th surname to it (where we live, the woman cannot legally change her surname after marriage).

Did anyone choose not to have a middle name for the baby? I think 5 names is quite ridiculous!

I don't have a middle name but never had 3 last names! My last name was just quite long and my parents figured that was enough of a mouthful.

My friend chose not to give her children middle names, not for any particular reason though! I LOVE thinking of names, so i would def want to be able to choose a first and a middle name. However, i have never known of someone having three last names.... so in that situation i think it would make perfect sense to not add an additional name to an already super long name!

Freya doesn't have a middle name. And not because we've got a three-name surname, in fact it's only one syllable!!

You don't need a middle name, and I think with such a long surname it would make sense to not have one.

Good news then, everyone else thought it would be strange

My OH doesn't have a middle name, he doesn't have a long surname, his parents just decided not to give him one i guess. However, i am just like MommyTammyPA...i LOVE thinking up names, and would not be able to not give my LO a middle name! I think with such a long surname, you are doing the right thing by not giving a middle name.

I dont have a middle name for no particular reason i dont think theres anything wrong with it its quite common and makes sense in your situation

xx
