Daily Save Thread

So we have a daily spend thread, I thought I'd start a daily save thread. I figured this would be quieter as I guess more people spend than save, I know I do! But here you can put possibly things like, how much you've put in a jar today? have you sold anything second hand? Have you bought anything second hand saving you money on the item, had a bargain elsewhere even a food shop? Money saving tips and tricks for little items as well as saving money on your utility Bill's or general Bill's?

I'd like to know what's everyone saving today!

So far for me today...

I've sold a pair of DDs old converse on Ebay for £10
Recycled an old bag of clothes for cash for £7

So I'm up £17

Also this month I've refinanced my car, not really a save as I will now be paying my car off over a slightly longer term, but as I've already payed a lot of money on work on my car I will be keeping it for the long run and it's like a brand new car enginewise. So I've lowered my payments from £151 to £92 a month by going with a lower interest finance company, so for me monthly, this is a big save!

Thank you! In pretty bad at saving as in putting money aside, but I'm a good bargain hunter and I'm always looking at lowering my Bill's or finding cheaper tariffs elsewhere, hopefully this thread will be of use to people if needed

Same here ! Awful at saving but I look out for the bargains too!

Great idea. I got some money yesterday. So I added £50 to my £250 already saved for butlins next week ( we got breakfast and tea) petrol will be £60 but thay leaves £190 or £50 a day for me and DS to do things with. We got action passes so cinema and bowling are included.

I am TRYING to save at end of each month-
£20 for home insurance ( due Jan 2020)
£50 for car , MOT, service, breakdown, insurance etc
£50 for holiday next year
£40 xmas for DS and birthday
£20 for cat jabs, biscuits
£40 for decorating

I will update at end of the month how much I have for each.

Once house is painted I need to sell some stuff.

I made £5 on mon on selling 2 blue tops on facebook ( money going for decorating)

Fab! I love saving but don't do it enough I've made quite a bit of money selling on Ebay now, which is all contributing to xmas this year!
