Sometimes I feel bad because all this pregnancy lark is affecting me - like I'm hogging things...does that make sense?
I want to make sure DB is fully invovled all the way along, I want him to really feel he's going to become a Daddy. And today my DB annoucned today that he's been looking up what I should eat and he's taking me food shopping - he's edcided I need a special diet! Awww, I'm so glad he's been out there reading up without me, getting himself into the role of protecting Daddy already!
:headspin:

My OH is the same :) He bought this book written by a bloke called 'The Blokes Guide to Pregnancy' or something so he knows exactly all about my syptoms and how to look after me, and what to expect. I think its really hard for men, because all of the books and magazines tend to be aiumed at women, and he says he feels a bit patronised by them.

My OH is lovely, and hes doing a brilliant job. Just makes me love him even more!

xxx

My OH is just getting used to the idea i think, although this baby was planned it happened so quickly (we were very lucky i had only been off the pill a month!) Think he is finding it hard that he's lost his drinking and partying buddy aka me! Well we all have to grow up sometime! So he's finding different stuff for us to do like cinema, fancy meals, shopping, trips to coast etc etc which is nice

my hubby bought himself the Baby's first year for dummies and he is preparing big time. He has already taken me shopping for preggo wear, it was cute.
I do whine every day, I know, but I still think he is handling it all well.

I felt the same way at first, now I am like, damn, you should have to feel nauseous all freaking day long, you should have to pee at all hours of the night, for just ONE day. :) I love my DH and he is very sweet, and has been wonderful looking after me during this first trimester. I am looking forward to the 2nd trimester when the baby starts moving and he can feel it. That will be nice.

aww all your OH's are so sweet! Mine is too but in a really understated way as he is about everything!! He keeps apologising when I'm feeling ill and was really apologetic when I was throwing up this morning...but I know inside he is excited and really ready to support me whatever happens, especially because of our miscarriage last time. I'd really hate to be him though right now, much rather be a woman going through it all!

My DH doesn't do that stuff. He says he just wishes I wasn't so sick and tired feeling all the time (I think he's tired of cooking and cleaning) and he hates cleaning the cat boxes. Honestly, he doesn't seem excited...at ALL. I know he's worried about finances and such, as he ALWAYS does, but it would be nice for SOME enthusiasm. The only time he got excited is when we went to Babies R Us and we found a bunch of firefighter and pit bull outfits. (we're both FF and own a pit bull)

LOL

I had massive morning sickness starting at about 5 weeks that included exhaustion, nausea, headaches, etc... DH didn't understand why I felt so yucky "You're hardly even pregnant!?"

:grr:

](*,)

So, I spent the first 5 weeks with manly support. lol Since I'm starting to show a bit, and after we heard the heartbeat at our first appointment he's gotten much better. Now every little move I make is worrisome for him.

:dohh:

And just when I'm starting to feel better!

He's a good man and very protective of me and the baby.

When my mom was pregnant with me my dad is the one who had the morning sickness and pains that went with it. She loved it.

MY DH has been hilarious since we found out I am PG. The first day he called me at work and asked if he needed to take my backpack home because it might be too heavy for me. Than yesterday we were doing the cleaning and normally I vacuum but he wouldn't let me  not that I mind that

:happydance:

Mine reckons he´s giving up alcohol seeing as though I have to - no idea how long that will last mind!! I said I don´t mind him drinking as long as he doesn´t sit in front of me and guzzle back a load of beer and wine. But he reckons he´s not buying anymore......we´ll see what happens, Christmas is only just around the corner!!
