Decimating the Guest List *vent*

For money reasons (and that we hate being the center of attention) we're hacking away at our guest list. Bu we feel like heartless jerks doing it.

My mother says that if they're real friends they'll understand....but it still sucks.

Ugh.


Sorry, I just feel so bad! Anyone else?

It is hard, but that is true if they are true friends they will understand, also there really isnt any point inviting people for the sake of it especially if your on a budget!! i'm sure it will be fine and your day will be lovely hope you feel better about it soon

dont feel bad! i'm doing the exact same thing! its your special day, so it needs to be perfect for you! theres no point in the two of you spending the rest of your lives paying off loans what you used to pay for the wedding!!! we've got so many people that we should invite because they're family, and immediate family at that, but because of problems within the family, they cant come.. guest lists are just so hard good luck sorting it hun x

Hey hun,

Your mum is right... they'll understand if theyre real friends. We can only fit 50 to our wedding breakfast.. so on the evening invites we're saying that people are MORE than welcome to come to the church to watch us get married.... after all isnt that the important bit???

You'd think that. lol Basically it's coming down to "friend politics" if you know what I mean. If we invite A then we need to invite B. B is C's family so C has to come. Or we can not invite any of them. Stuff like that. *sigh*
