but nothing to expensive?

xx

I got a load from Matalan last year and Asda and Tesco are always good. x

This won't help for this year but after Christmas the holiday decorations go on clearance--that's when I buy mine

I never gave that a thought... brilliant idea thanks...

thank you ladies xx

I always collect pine cones at this time of year and keep them in my airing cuboard to dry them out. Nearer christmas I get a can of gold spray paint (you can get it from craft shops etc for just a couple of pounds) and some gold ribbon and spray the cones gold, leave them to dry and attach the ribbon. They look gorgeous, only cost a few pounds and it really makes your tree feel like you have put your own touch on it.

i have had blue decs since i left home at 17, so in the sale last year i bought bronze/gold and browns - box of 150 tree decs for £10. i know this doesnt help you for this year, but look in the sales.

i would say try the £1 shops, wilkinsons, ethel austin (if theres 1 near you) or local market.

Not much help but i get nice decs in the sales after xmas for the following year

Wilkinsons always have some nice ones x

Wilkinsons, ikea etc have some nice ones. I make my own and then if I want anything special I will spend that little bit extra on it, also local craft fairs are good (your local wild life trust should have one in november)

Buy some nice ribbon and tie in bows onto the branches, candy canes, bake some cookies and hang those on, cinamon sticks tied together with ribbon also look nice! I'm a big fan of traditional trees!
