so im 25 weeks and for the past few days i have not felt bubs move very often, usually she is very active and now all i feel is a couple of weak kicks down below (before i would feel very strong kicks around my abdomen). I know that baby goes quiet during their growth spurts but only 2 or 3 kicks a day? is that cause for concern? anyone else in the same boat?

My little guy has calmed down a lot in the last couple days too... I just hit 25 weeks today. I still feel him at random times though, so I'm not too concerned.

You could try drinking some orange juice or something to get her to move a little, but if you're really concerned about it, then phone your doctor and see what he/she has to say. Always trust your instincts! It's better to be safe than sorry, and I promise the docs won't be upset for you calling to ask.

(as an aside... supposedly around 25 weeks, then can tell the difference between up and down, so maybe you're feeling kicks lower b/c she's enjoying being upright?)

Yep worries me to death that he has more lazy days now. It's like he is on a sleep schedule of some sort

Yeah same here, I'm feeling weak kicks in my bottom and not so often
Heartbeat sounds fine on the Doppler but yes it's worrying

I've been thinking the same over the last few days. Baby has definately quietened down. I still feel her at random times though so not too concerned at the minute. I get back ache on occassions when I haven't felt her for a while, so I'm thinking she must be kicking into my back rather than my stomach maybe?

Oh so glad others are in the same boat. Bubs barely moved for the last 4 days and I was freaking out. When I considered going to the clinic, he'd give me a few good tumbles and kicks and put me at ease. Then be quiet for the rest of the day. Today I woke up to a massive kick and it's been constant all day. So it must have been a lazy week for him.

I have had a couple of worrisome days where the baby hasn't moved as much. I will usually drink something like juice and then lay down on my side and like clockwork she will start kicking around in about 10-20 minutes. I think sometimes I am just busy and don't notice her kicks as much and also sometimes if the baby turns and is kicking in another direction or area I don't feel it as much.

Me too!Im 25 weeks tomorrow an have definitely noticed a decrease in movement! He was moving so much the last few weeks but the last 5 days he's calmed down a lot!I'm so glad you posted this thread because I feel much better about it after reading everyone's comments!

I was at hospital this morning for 3 hours as I'd had some bleeding (all ok tho)
And I mentioned how the movements have reduced a lot, she said its totally normal at this stage and they see loads of women with the same thing.
X

Im still feeling movement but he does sometimes go quiete for a few hours!! The movements are mostly quite low atm but a week or so ago they were higher!

Hi....I am 25 and a half week....last week I hardly felt anything all week, then felt loads of movement on Sunday and Monday and feeling it on and off today. I had googled and seen a lot of women get a quiet week at about our stage but definately see your midwife if you are worried. The kicks I feel are lighter....it's due to a different position. My kicks are really low down so the baby has moved to head up, feet at the bottom now. I heard the heartbeat today at my scheduled midwife appointment, but please ring them if you are worried.
