Hi,

First post here, tried the search function and as usual got no answer. What is a D&C that I read here?

My Wife and I had a miscarriages September 11th 2008 and March 27th 2008. Seven weeks and five weeks respectively. We'll try again.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your loss..

To answer your question: D&c is dilation and couterage. Its when they go in (dilation) and clean out your womb of any remnants after a mc (miscarriage). Couterage refers to the instrument they use to scrape the endimitrium, the lining of the womb. (there's a definition on google as well...)

I had one after a missed mc ( baby died in womb) and its been 5 weeks now and im feeling great, and as you im ttc again.

best of luck!

Hey thanks. My wife passed the miscarriages naturally; it was hell for her. We're trying to conceive again. She went to the doctor today and he has referred her to a gynecologist. Thanks again.
