Hi all,

I'm pretty sure we're in the same boat here, but I feel depressed all the time and seem to have this daily struggle...

You see we've been TTC for around 1.5 years and on a daily basis I see/hear about friends/relatives/colleagues having a baby, pregnancy announcements, etc etc etc

When it's happening all around me, I keep asking, why is it so easy for them and so difficult for me?

We've had tests done and everything has come back normal so far... so what exactly is wrong!?!?

Oh hun, sorry to hear that. :hugs:

You don't seem to temp on your charts  I would really recommend it as it has helped me pinpoint ov (even if we haven't caught the pesky egg yet). Also I would def recommend the book taking charge of your fertility - its absolutely fascinating and really helpful for us TTC'ers

what does your doctor think about IUI?
It's our 15th cycle all tests are clear and in june we'll have IUI. Some couples struggle conceiving naturally I guess even when everything is fine.

Hi imagine13, I used to temp on my chart, throughout my 1st year of TTC

But recently I spoke to several GPs and all are against charting...
They said BBT isn't very accurate, and even if you add OPK to it, both things can make you frustrated... as when you find out when you've likely to have OV'd, you then put pressure on yourself to BD... and in that process you don't enjoy it...

They also said it's more likely to see couples conceiving by chance/accident than by BBT/OPK :(

Makes it all even more depressing...

Sounds like when you go out of your plan to plan for it, you don't get it...
And when you don't plan it, it'll come by chance/accident... sigh...

That's interesting. I use OPKs and temp. But if I quit all that it'd be really hard to conceive because both DH and I come to home after work tired and we don't normally have sex 3-4 times a week. That's why I need to know when I'm ovulating.

Our GPs advised us to ditch all the BBT and OPK and just to BD every other day, which is what we're doing nowadays...

Ooh i don't know anything about IUI...

I've only just been referred to a specialist, and I'm due to take more tests in the coming weeks... after that we'll discuss the results and any possible treatment

Good luck for your IUI in June!!!!

When you say "everything has come back normal"....does that for just you or your SO too? Sometimes when the woman isn't having trouble with her cycles/O'ing it could be the sperm or a timing issue.
Trust me, I know how frustrating it gets to see and hear about EVERYONE getting pregnant around you. We have been trying for a little over 2 years now and it seems like everyone is already trying for their SECOND. I recently found out 2 of my BFs are preggo too (due in Dec 2011). Of course I was happy for them, but also very envious.

I recently found out I don't O on my own so I'm actually on Clomid...still hasn't worked starting my fourth round today. Try not to give up hope....I know its SO hard though!

Aww :hugs: too true, the "law of sod". So many people say "we weren't even trying", seems to happen too easily for those that don't want it. Whatever works for you to keep sane I say :drunk:

Is your OH going for SA on his squigglers?

Everything came back normal for both of us, in fact his sperm count was "excellent" and that's the exact word our GP said... lol

I really hope the best for you and that Clomid will work well for you!!

I haven't started any treatment yet, but will probably discuss that in my next appointment at the hospital...

Yup he's done that once at our GP, and now that we've been referred to the hospital, he's done it again. But the 1st time round was fine anyway, his results was "excellent" as the GP said hehe

It's funny how GPs really let everyone down sometimes. I went to a high risk gyne/ob because of health issues and he said use OPKs and then have sex everyday around the time of your fertile time after you've narrowed down your fertile period.

I'll go with my gynecologist's advice. ;) Don't let your GP get you down, that's the last thing any woman who is TTCing needs.

:dust:

ive also been trying for 1.5 yrs everytime my period comes i get so pee'd off im constantly hearing my friends becoming pregnant, even my mums friend who wasnt even trying, she was on the pill and is 46!! i would love to be a mum, i would give it my all! my partner is so supportive and i love him to bits. i had an appointment at the hosp about 5months ago to check i was 'normal' but i couldnt go in, i sat in the corridor and ended up just coming home because i was scared of what i may find out! i have a family history of ovarian cysts also. i pray we will get our babys we deserve! and its so nice to have a forum to understand were not alone!! mabey we are having this trouble so that when it finally happens we can appreciate them so much more than others, i wish us all great luck for happy healthy beautiful babies :D

i'm really sorry you're feeling down. :hugs: i am too. i know exactly how you feel. dh and i are on month 13. i don't know if it's the clomid or what...but i have all these mood swings and feel depressed often. i just want to be done with ttc already. thinking about ttc every day is really draining. i wish i could say something to make you feel better! gl...i really hope you get your bfp soon!

I guess you're right in saying that GPs really let pple down!!!

I'm going to see my gynecologist for the 2nd time next month, so I guess I should only listen to her from now on!!

@iheartcookies and @bexxc:

I wish and pray for the best for all of us too, and hope that we'll all get our BFPs very very soon!! x
