Desperately need positive stories for bleeding in early pregnancy and all being well!

Dear ladies,
I am visiting from 1st trimester. I am 5+2 weeks after losses in early and late pregnancies previously.
I started to have brownish stringy discharge last week which has changed to pinkish reddish watery discharge on wiping for the last 48 hrs. I put a pad in last night .. Hardly anything to see on that but still stuff on wiping. No cramps, boobs still sore and occasional wave of nausea. I also did a clearblue conception predictor today which said 2-3 weeks ( doctors 4-5 weeks). No sex tmi !
Please share ur positive stories where all has been well after first trimester bleeding .... Please ! Thanks !
P.S I have an early scan booked at 8 weeks .

I didn't have bleeding like you describe, but a rather lot of bright red bleeding out of nowhere at just over 7 weeks. It lasted an hour or so, no clots but plenty of low-grade cramps. Since I was at work and it was 4 a.m., I high-tailed it to the ER across town rather than wait for my doctor's office to open.

The guess is that I tore a blood vessel trying to hard in the bathroom at break, and that's why I was bleeding like that. There was nothing wrong on the ultrasound and the baby was just as blobby as before, strong little heartbeat flickering away.

Andrea is 10 days old now and eating like nobody ever feeds her at every single meal, so I'm guessing my panic didn't affect her any more than the bleeding did.

i have SCH subchorionic hematoma.. i bled.soo often and lots it ran down my legs throughout pregnancy. i thought i lost my bbg few times.. look at me now! hugs.. its a VERY sensitive time i know:-\ hang in there.. get loads of rest

I had a heavy bleed at 10 weeks. I was taking a shower and felt a gush and looked down and there was blood literally running down my legs. It continued like that for about an hour or so (heavy red bleeding like you'd get on a heavy period day) followed by a week of reddish brown spotting and discharge. As you can see all was fine. It's thought now it was just a blood vessel breaking (which is really common) or related to some changes in hormone levels. Definitely see your doctor or midwife anytime you have any bleeding, but at the same time, try not to worry! Bleeding at that point is very common and 90% of 1st tri bleeding is fairly harmless and doesn't cause any problems for you or baby, so the odds are very much in your favour. If you can, rest and take it easy for a few days and see if it gets better.

Hi, I bled twice in the first tri at 7 weeks + 5. It was so much blood I was sure I'd lost my bub, turned out to be be a sub chroronic hematoma. I bled again a week later. The fact that your still having early pregnancy symptoms is good, hang in there

Hi, I had a bleed at 10 weeks then again at 14. It was due to the placenta laying across the cervix and me straining on the loo pushe some blood down.
All is now fine and she is due in 7 weeks, with the placenta having moved since then. Try and stay positive Hun, and maybe schedule the early scan forward to 6-7 weeks for some reassurance. I had a scan at 6 weeks and seeing her little heart beating away was such a reassurance.

I had 3 miscarriages before this pregnancy (2 chemical preg and 1 MMC).

With this pregnancy I bled for 4 weeks in the first tri (from just under 4 weeks to 8 weeks) and it was brown, pink, and even red at times. Sometimes heavy, sometimes light, and had some stringy-type pieces like you described. Due to my previous losses and the bleeding with this one they put me in for a scan at only 6 weeks, and although there was a little heartbeat I remember the sonographer pulling out the vaginal probe and there was a big red clot on it. I was terrified.

They never really found out what caused the bleeding (although SCH was suspected or a clot that had formed after my D&C from the MMC), but I am full term with an active little boy who is doing great!!

It's scary but more common than people think. I had a BIG bleed at 19 weeks with this one too, I'm now just short of 29 weeks x

Hi I had a bleed at 4 weeks when my period should have been due, was pink mucus which then became bright red and then was brown discharge, to this day I reckon it was implantation bleeding and I'm nearly 36 weeks sending you loads of hugs xxx

Hi there, I bled every week since I conceived. I literally bled a little bit every single week but I read that if your bleeding is NOT accompanied by cramping or pain in tummy/back then it is totally normal so I never once called the doctor until I was 12 weeks... I woke up in the morning (and hubby and I hadn't been having sex or anything) and I started bleeding really bad and it was bright red blood. We rushed to the hospital to have a check and doctor said I had a threatened miscarriage but that the baby was ok. She also told me that my placenta is extremelly low (over my cervix) and that is what was causing me to bleed every week. She put me on salbutamol which helps the uterus to relax (and not contract) and she put me on bed rest and pelvic rest (no sex) for the next 2 months.

I stopped all bleeding at around 16 or 17 weeks and have not bled since!

My baby is perfectly healthy and my placenta has managed to move itself all the way up to where its supposed to be

I'm being induced next week MOnday at 38 weeks because hubby and I don't live in the country where we are having our baby and he needs to get back to work end of Feb so we are deciding to be induced so that my hubby can be here for baby boys birth. Very excited and can't wait for my boy to be here.

I bleed 4 weeks with this pregnancy every day since the day period was due right up to week 8

wow! I had to reply to this ! I had EVERYTHING you described and all is well here im 31 weeks prego the bleeding started at exactly 5 weeks and then stoped and started again at 7 weeks then stopped then again at 15 weeks and never again.
I hope everything is okay for you when i was 5 weeks i got an hcg test to see the number then took one the next week it didnt dubble but it went up. they wanted to do a d&c on me but i told them no and here i am with my baby girl hang in there

Wow that's music to my ears...unfortunately they don't do blood hcg in the UK .. I think I will contact my Gp tomorrow and see what he says... Doubt they will be interested this early in pregnancy !

I had a bright red clotty bleed like a period at 10wks and thought I was losing the baby but it was from a tear from behind the placenta that healed just fine. Little boy will be here soon!

Also, if it's brown like old blood chances are even better it's nothing but you should always get it checked out

Ok bled a few times during the early weeks, with tons of ultrasounds... They said it was a pocket of old blood, now I'm heading towards 32 weeks, with no further issues. Good luck! Try not to stress, trust I know how hard that is, take it easy n keep up on ur prenatals n water
