Just wondering if there's someone out there going through what I am going through with dhea...
In October 2010 I had an AMH of 7.8, and in Feb 2011 it went up to 10.2. Two failed ivf icsis later, and 4 top grade embies, I'm starting down the ivf route again. We're going for mild ivf this time, so numbers won't be high but hopefully quality and my womb lining will be better.
The thing is, I had my AMH done in January this year and it was 8.5, so I felt reassured that it wasnt going down too quickly. I'm 30 and chances are my AMH has always been low. My dr put me on 75mg dhea to see if it would bring my AMH up. 3 months later it's now 6.3.
My dr says dhea should increase AMH, but this isn't happening for me, it's lower than ever! He says to keep taking it, but I'm now worried it's going to mess up my ivf cycle in July. it also seems to have brought on spotting (I take progesterone shots in the last week of my cycle to stop the pre menstrual spotting, but im now getting it after my period too now so not sure what's going on there either!) I've sent him an email and will make an (expensive!) appointment to see him if he doesn't respond, but I just want to know if anyone else has had this?
