Hi there

Im new to this site and really would love to get some support of ladies in a similar situation. Myself and my husband have ben ttc to 1 year and found out last month that e has a low sperm count!!! I was so upset because he doesnt drink alcohol has never smoked, keeps really fit and has a good diet! Seems so unfair! Having googled diabeted and low sperm count there seems to be a connection and I feel so helpless I dont know what to do!! We are both 30 with no children and im really struggling to cope with this news. We have had an appointment at the fertility clinic who are going to wash a sample and see if we are suitable for iui or whether to go straight for ivf....Im really scared and have been crying most days....I really need some kind words!!!

Hey, I am almost similar. I was dx with pcos, I take metformin which is to lower my insulin levels down, but is a diabetic medcine and assist with conceiving. My husband did have semen issues dealing with morph, and minor motility. His count was good. He is now taking daily multi vitamins, vitamin C, and L carotine. Our RE said those vitamins will help improve. We will be doing another SA jan. Now in the exact same boat but I am here for you. :dust:

Thanks so much Chiles for replying! Feeling a bit better tonight, ds has been taking zinc, vit c etc but we have just got some Mecca which is meant to be fab for sperm😊 we are hoping to have an iui in jan if his sample is good enough! It's such a roller coaster ride! I start on chlomid tomorrow also....we really are trying everything! I've even given up my wine! Lol!

How long have u been ttc? X

Long as he continue to take the vitamans he will be okay. We have actually been ntnp for 2 years, and ttc for over a year. I am on my 2nd cycle of ovulation induction but this cycle has been cancel because of poor response. Ttc is a roller coaster, but one day it will be worth it.

I have gave up my wine too :) and bad eating habits.

HEy Hels! My hubby has low sperm count. What was his count if you don't mind me asking? Our last count was 7mil. My world fell apart. We stopped trying since we found out. I needed a break. But guess what?! We fell pregnant 2months after!!! Sadly we lost the pregnancy. Now, we're trying again. Keep up with the vitamins and exercise! My husband is using usana vitamins which improves his motility drastically.

Hiya! Thanks for your response! So sorry to hear of your loss that must have been so hard for u both! First count was 20ml so borderline and second one a month later was 13ml!! Don't get why it dropped so much!

Hearing stories like yours gives me faith though...it will happen when the time is right and not before I guess? I havnt heard of those vitamins before, where can u get them? My hubby takes wellman conception, vit c and zinc!

Best wishes xx

He first heard about them online and found a dealer around our area. They don't sell them in stores. We told our Doctor about the vitamins to make sure she was okay with it and she was fine and didn't say anything negative about it. After researching the vitamins, I actually read that a fertility specialist in Australia recommends Usana. Here's their website: https://hsb.usana.com/
