Did anyone fall PG on a looongg period cycle?

Hi all,

Back again on this forum TTC after 5 miscarriages in the last 3 years.

Ready to TTC, but since all my m/c my cycles have blown out and range between 32 to 40 days before my period arrives.

I get false opk + and my temps go all over the place. Looks like I ov and then my period doesn't come until 3 weeks later.

Just wondering if anyone had luck TTC with the same thing?

Doing acupuncture and taking herbs to help this one be a sticky...just worries me that something bad will happen with a long cycle.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi Angels! I wouldn't worry about your cycles being long, mine were also quite long (I think I conceived my rainbow baby on a 36 day cycle)! What herbs are you taking? A friend of mine on B&B got pregnant after doing acupuncture, and I got pregnant taking fertilitea (herbs!). Did you have any testing done to help explain your re-occuring m/cs? I hope you get a speedy, healthy, and sticky BFP! Blessings!

I'm just taking the herbs my acupuncturist prescribes....it seems like a really long list but its meant to help strengthen my uterus and keep me relaxed etc.

Yea I had a whole heap of testing after the 3rd m/c, but they found that even though my thyroid is normal, it's a bit sluggish and that I am slightly PCOS. However they said it shouldn't be a problem since I have fallen PG 5 times without help.

Did your friend continue acupuncture during her pregnancy and did you keep taking the herbs?

Hmmm...I'm not sure if my friend continued doing acupuncture, I'll ask her and get back to you. And I stopped taking the herbs because I some were not conducive to pregnancy as they could cause contractions. Do you live in the US or Canada? Because I did get another tea for when I was pregnant (you can order from fairhavenhealth.com if you're in the US or earlypregnancytests.com in Canada) called Tea for Two. I swear the only 2 days that I skipped taking it in the first tri I started bleeding. When I took it, the bleeding stopped within an hour. It's supposed to strengthen the uterus. I never ever want to be pregnant without having that tea on hand! xox

Yes, my friend continued with the acupuncture until she was 13 weeks pregnant. xox
