Did I ovulate late?? Confused....

So, let me start by saying I am very regular, 28 day cycle. Occasionally I will have a 26 or 30 day cycle, but not normally. So, after my last period, I had little or no cm, even during the time I was supposed to O. I am currently on cd 23, and I just started getting tons of ewcm 2 days ago.
So, my question is, did I ovulate late, or was this an anovulatory cycle, and I'm getting ready to have my period? The quality of the ewcm was really good, and there was more than normal.
Any ideas, opinions on what's going on??
