The month that I found out that I was pregnant (sadly miscarried), I had a feeling I might be pregnant. My DH kept saying to just wait until AF was late. On the Saturday morning, I sneaked out to the shops pretending that I was going out to buy ketchup to make him a bacon sarnie. I don't know why he thought I was going to the centre of town for this instead of our local shops!! He must have been half asleep.
So I got the HPT and did it in Debenham's store toilets (I was too excited to wait - and had been holding my pee in all night!!!). When I got the BFP, I put it in a little silver box and gave it to DH. He opened it up and said, 'is it yours?' LOL!!!! What did he think I had done - gone and got some pregnant woman to poas!!! Anyway, he was ecstatic.
I don't think men understand all the excitement of wanting to find out if you are pregnant or not - they just think, 'oh well, you'll find out when you find out.' AAaaaggghh! They just don't get that you analyse every little change in your body when you are ttc - and also, you need to know so you don't eat foods like bree and prawns.
Men!!! I think testing in secret and then announcing the happy news is totally fine - the amount of poasing we do, the men would be permanently sat outside the bathroom waiting for us to pee if we didn't. Just as long as you don't run up thousands of pound on his credit card buying Clearblue Digitals!!!
