Did you have more AF cramps the cycle of HSG?

Hi Ladies

just wondering if anyone can share their experiences after an HSG...I had mine done on CD10 of my current cycle. At 10 and 11 dpo I had pretty bad cramping and I don't usually cramp until the day AF starts. I'm 12 dpo today and cramps have mostly gone, but I wondered, maybe it is the HSG making me cramp more? I know it was weeks ago and the effects of the actual test are long-gone, but just thought perhaps the period immediately after an HSG could be more painful, intense etc. Really want to be pg but just don't want to get my hopes up, so trying to think of alternate reasons for various symptoms!

I dont remember cramps but I did have brown spotting around 10dpo that cycle which got me really hopeful but AF showed 4 days later and I realized it was most likely just left over syrup ( dye) that they injected for the HSG.

I hope your BFP comes soon.

Thanks for replying lisa Am so tired of getting my hopes up then seeing AF...13 dpo and cramps came back, last night it really felt like AF was on the way so reckon I must be out Good luck to you hope you get your bfp soon too x

I had mine on CD15 (it was too late to TTC after HSG cos i ovulate on CD12-13). I did not feel much pain during and after HSG but the first period after HSG was uncommonly painful and light. It all got back to normal after that. Am now wondering what hysteroscopy/laparoscopy are going to do to my period...

I too had cramps thought the rest of my cycle after HSG.
I had my HSG on the 10th and cramping only really stopped 23rd.

Thanks for your replies ladies was hoping the HSG would do the trick for us but sadly AF arrived!! So I think the unusual cramps must've been because of the HSG. Good luck to everyone x
