I've got an arsenal of Maca, Vitex, (neither helped bring on O sooner) and now I'm considering Soy! Unfortunately, when I asked my doctor if she recommended anything to help me O sooner she said "No, none of that stuff has been proven to work, I wouldn't waste your money!" she's very "Western" in her medicine, apparently! Did anyone have a doctor that endorsed herbs, or is that just unheard of?

How long were you using the Maca and Vitex? It can take anywhere from 6 months to 1 year to see real results. It also takes patience when using supplements.

Your doctor is ignorant of supplements obviously. There are thousands of women who are living proof that supplementation helped them get pregnant. Some of it may in fact be documented, but even if it wasn't, the proof is from the hundreds of success stories from women all around the world.

Yeah, she'd never heard about vitamin b lengthening luteal phases when i'd asked her! I thought that to be rather odd. But I wouldn't expect many westernized doctors to suggest herbs or alternative treatments since its not what they're schooled in (nor would they get paid that way ;) ) Its unfortunate that my insurance only accepts standard doctors. I've only taken Maca this month, and the Vitex a few months ago. I stopped Vitex because I had my progesterone checked prior to taking it and realized I was all good in that department, and I didn't want to risk messing things up. I'll keep on with the Maca since its rather harmless and has been a great libido booster! ;)
