Does anyone know if this is actually ok!? I am still 12 stone (was 10) and its not budging and its now really getting me down. I have ordered a cross trainer and want to use it everyday ( I have promised hubby I will!). All the info I can find say wait until you stop breast feeding before even attempting to start any kind of weight loss plan but I was planning on breastfeeding for a year! My milk wont dry up will it if I start exercising etc! If I carry on eating regularly but just not junk and drink lots of water I wont suddenly lose my milk will I!?

I think you'll be fine as long as you keep eating healthy stuff. I make sure I walk for about an hour a day and eat fairly healthily, although have quite a lot of choc too! Somehow I have ended up half a stone lighter than my pre pregnancy weight and my milk hasn't been affected at all. Good luck but don't push yourself too hard xx

Remember hun it's 9 months on 9 months off. Give it some time. That said exercise should be fine, just don't overdo it

Ive been going to a slimming class and walking lots, and have slowly been losing weight, and so far, my milk supply is just as it was. I think as long as you are sensible itll be fine :)

I was reading that it's actually really hard to screw up your milk supply, provided your baby is latching/sucking well. Unless you go on an extremely calorie restricted diet your supply is unlikely to be affected; so as long as you stay at or above 1200-1500 calories you should be fine! And my doctor said exercise is just fine while breastfeeding.

Hope this helps!

Yeah lots of the online dieitng things like the Tesco one wont let you join if you're breastfeeding!
