My 3-week-old LO drinks great from my right breast. This side leaks a lot (like, dripping when the other side is in use) and never hurts when he's sucking. However, there is a small white spot on my left nipple, and this breast doesn't leak much at all. I have a dull, bruise-like pain as LO sucks, and it doesn't seem like he swallows as much on the left, and falls asleep more easily. Thoughts?

I think it's maybe a milk blister... I've had this a couple of times on my left breast. If you squeeze your nipple does the white spot kind of bulge out? (lol sorry!) If it does, I think it's a milk blister... I just sort of picked it away and eventually some milk squirted out and I just expressed until the pain went away. It's a good idea to let LO nurse on that side first too. I hope that helps any.

It does seem to bulge, yes. How did you pick it off? Did it hurt?

I just used my (clean) nail lol.. It was a little sore, but a relief when it was done!
