Difference between mucus plug and discharge...

So im a little baffled, just lately only once a day or something i'll have a (TMI) thick,sticky,stringy substance when i wipe - kind of like a egg whitey colour... now im just wondering is this just increased discharge or does it sound like mucus plug slowly coming away?

What was your mucus plug like? (sorry TMI)

Mines not been tinged pink or anything... could it just be discharge?

I'm doing the same thing and have wondered the SAME thing!! Twice I've had actual gumball size glops and the rest has been longer stringy pieces....like egg white cm but of a white/yellow solid color. I would like to know to if this is the plug pulling away or a new lovely end of the road discharge!!! With all of my other babies, the plug came away at once and there was no question as to what it was!

My mucus plug was quite noticeably different from regular discharge, mine was very thick, like a glob of jelly, and was light pink in colour, I believe it can also be tinged with blood, I wondered how I could tell the difference in my last pregnancy but you will know when you lose it

good question, i too had same thing last night, when i wiped i had a as can only be described as a lump of goo on loo roll, it wasnt pink though just like a pale yellowish colour but yucky looking, sort of like flem (sorry tmi)

In my experience the yellowy, snot like stuff (sorry tmi) and the egg white stuff is discharge, my plug has always been very jelly like, almost dense and either clear streaked with blood or pink streaks or pinky in colour. When you use your plug its usually very different to discharge. But thats just what I've experienced
