I'm totally baffled here

We're currently wtt while I work on losing weight. And I've just realised that I've been spotting before af starts for quite a while now. Everything is fine smear test wise, but I've noticed that it can sometimes mean an issue with progesterone.

So while looking into it a bit more, I noticed that vitamin e, c, l-arginine and magnesium can help slightly, so I thought I'd have a nosey and see how much of each of them are included in my seven seas trying for a baby supplement.

And I compared them to the pregnacare conception supplements

And I'm not too sure what to think. I originally chose the seven seas ones because they were cheaper and I thought they all had the same sort of vitamins in, but obviously not.

I'm contemplating just making the switch to the pregnacare ones. They're more expensive, but worth it if I'm getting better levels of vitamins and a better selection :dohh:

Emmy multivitamins are not a good solution for most women... You have to call the company and aske what weight/ BMI their dosages are based on, most are based on a weight of 125-140lbs, meaning you are probably not getting enough - just as an example, when I went to see a specialist in the field of nutritional support and spoke specifically about conception she said that for my weight I would need 1200mg of magnesium and 2mg of folic acid daily (also based on how absorbable the nutrients are) most multivitamins have 200-300 magnesium and 0.4 mg of folic acid... you are much better off getting the supplements separately and using an appropriate weight based dose. Also vitamin d is really important and the dose is 35 units/kg/day not 600 unit as suggested on the bottle... I have gotten to know a lot on this particular subject and have been doing a lot of patient education on proper supplement use and avoiding "one fits all multi vitamins" - if you want I will give you my contact info and we can chat about it
