Dilated Cardiomyopathy/ heart failure xx

Hi, hoping im posting in the right forum.

My daughter is 15 month old, and just over a month ago was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

Her SF was 5% at presentation and 14% 2 weeks ago, shes on anti failure medicines.

I'm worried due to her being very upset and tearful the past couple of days, she is hard to comfort sometimes and wont settle, its worse at night time, i'm worried her constant crying will put a strain on her already poorly heart?

Will the meds stop that from happening?

Hi I'm afraid I don't know the answer but didn't want to read and run. Can you contact your daughter's Dr or consultant and ask them?

I am sorry to hear your lo is so poorly xx What is the long term prognosis if you don't mind me asking? Will she need a transplant or can the meds control the condition? xx

Hi we're not sure what the prognosis is for Lexi, we don't know yet if she will need a transplant or if the meds will be enough, its horrible not knowing xx
