Hi ladies have any of you ever been on antidepressants and had symptoms when coming off them? Ive been taking Citalopram for about 6/7 months and about two weeks ago started taking one every other day and completely stopped them a few days ago. Today i feel light headed and dizzy, almost feel drunk. Ive also got a splitting headache.

Do you think this could be a withdrawl from the antidepressants and should it pass soon?

thanks for reading :flower:

Yes it is and you shouldn't stop them suddenly.

Just as you feel a bit spacey starting them, coming off them can feel the same. It will pass.

Totally. I had the same thing when I stopped Citalopram when I fell pregnant. In the end I was taking them just so I didn't feel rubbish which I quickly realised was ridiculous! If you ride it out it shouldn't last too long, a few days to a week probably :)

I think it's normal I had headaches that only lasted a couple of days, hope it passes quick x

Thank you ladies I was gonna take one last night just to stop feeling rubbish but decided to stick it out. Still feel a bit strange today but not as bad. I'm never taking antidepressants again I don't think I suffer from depression I think I'm just a naturally anxious person/born worrier and tablets don't help. I just need to chill out a bit x

Yeah what everyone else is saying, don't stop suddenly like that. you have to ease off of them. I always forget to take mine so I don't feel to sick now that I have completely stopped mine.
