Do I make copies?

Well I've wrote a letter to FOB parents. It's not really nothing special, just telling them a bit about Kacie and put some photos in, saying that FOB has made it clear he wants no part, but the grandparents have the right to choose whether they want to stay in contact.

But do I have to photocopy it? Or just write it out again so that I've got a copy, just incase anything happens?

I'll probably chicken out sending it when I get to the postbox lol

I would make a photocopy of it. And put the date on the letter too so you can prove when it was written and sent. And well done you! His parents have a right to choose whether they want to be involved and he has no right to stop them. Hope you get the result you want hun

I would photocopy it aswell. Could you even send it recorded delivery or get a proof of posting? Just so you have it xx

Don't know what I would do without you girls, didn't think about the date OR recorded delivery!!

I'm not really sure what I want the outcome to be, not thought that far ahead I guess just knowing that they know about Kacie is a start, if they contact me back I'd be pleased.. but suprised, FOB is an angel in there eyes, what he says goes. So if he doesn't want them to have any contact I doubt they'll contact me back

definatly make a copy! No harm will come of you sending it, and whatever the outcome good or bad at least you will no for sure.

Well I sent it, and forgot to photocopy it dammit! I know excatly what it said though cos I saved a draft on my comp.

Now I'm thinking what if FOB signs for it, cos he parents are always at work, and he recognises my handwritting? Will he open it? Will he chuck it away? AHH ALL THESE BLIMIN QUESTIONSSSS!!!!

I did this too and also forgot to keep a copy I got a reply though, saying they decided not to meet Dexter (but they wanted me to send pics - errr, No!) which I'm keeping so that Dexter can see it in the future and know I tried.

Woah. FOB's dad just rang me, wasn't expecting that! He was really nice about it all though, saying thank you for sending a couple of pictures, he said he just rang to let me know they got the letter (even though I sent it recorded delivery so I woulda known anyway!!) and him, FOB, and FOB's mum are gonna sit down and discuss whats going to happen next over the weekend and give me a call early next week to talk about how we can move forward. He said more than likely that him, and FOB's mum will come down to see Kacie if I want them to, but there not sure about FOB. He was going on about what happened in the past between me and FOB is in the past and now there is a little life to think about.

I really don't know what to say, I'm in complete shock!!!!

Thank you, yeah it is a really positive outcome!

I just want next week to come already so I know what they've all been saying, and how FOB has been handling it. I don't think I'm quite ready for LO to meet him yet (don't know if FOB would for that matter!) after everything he said when I was pregnant. But I'd love Kacie to meet her other grandparents!

I'm over the moon, I wasn't even expecting a reply if I'm honest!!
