Do our eggs live 24 hours when we are older?

Odd question, I know, but I can't find any info about it anywhere.
I'm just curious about the lifespan of our ovulated egg once we are a bit older.

I've read once we ovulate, our egg lives 24 hours. Now, is that the same no matter our age? I mean, I read how the quality of our eggs can decline as we age, so does that mean they may not be viable as long as when we are younger as well?

That's a really interesting question! I tried googling it but just got tons of results about the shelf life of eggs, as in, the eggs you eat.
