I have my 25 week appointment today, and wondered if they will check my fundal height?
The reason I ask is, dd2 had growth problems (measuring way behind)and low fluid diagnosed at 28 weeks last time. I want to be sure all is ok this time.

If not, if I ask will they check it?

I was told no when I had mine yesterday (though I had my appt early). She said they normally measure from 28wks in my area, unless the mw thinks you are looking on the small or large size for your weeks and then they'll measure to see. She also reminded me that measuring is very subjective and not to get hung up on it. Saying that by eye and touch she looked at where my womb is and was happy it was coming above my belly button by the amount she'd expect for my weeks. Good luck for today!

Hi I had mine checked at my 25 week appointment x

Guess it depends. Mine was measured for the first time at my 24 week appointment (earlier this week).

My doc measured it at every appointment just to keep track of how the baby was growing and so that she'd be able to find it quickly at the next appointment. I thought that was standard. I guess I'll have to see when I have my first appointment out here with the new doctor.

I had mine located at 16 week appointment but they didn't measure it. Think it was from 24 week app with my first which I can skip for second if I want

With my dd2, mine was never measured. She always just had a feel and said I/baby was growing perfectly. And she guessed baby's weight pretty well too!

She did check it for me, and all is good with my fundal height. She said they don't usually check until 28 weeks, but she likes to check personally. :)

They checked my son from 28, and will do the same with this one. Not that my midwife is very accurate. She was way way out with my sons weight guesstimate, 6lbs ended up 9lbs 7.

Glad they checked!

Here, we have an appointment at 22 weeks and that's when she took my first measurement. My last appt was 28 weeks - it was measured then, too. I'll be measured at every appointment from that 22 weeks :)

She checked mine at my 24 week (actually 24+5, so pretty much 25) appointment.

I am almost 26 weeks and my OB has just been feeling to see if it's around where it should be, not actually measuring.

Mine was checked today at 22+5 and I was told it was good but wasn't told an actual number. Before now, they just felt around to check where it was.

I was measured at 14 weeks, measured 16, ive been measuring 2= 3 weeks ahead, on ultrasounds too
