Do you offer a drink at meal times?

Hi, my babies are currently on 4 x 180ml bottles a day and 3 small meals. These are all at different times. My question is, should i be giving bottles at the same time as meals and if not, do I offer baby juice (both babies hate water) to help wash it down?

Yes, I'd offer water. If they are thirsty, they'll drink it. No need for juice. If they are still having plenty of milk though, plus things like juicy fruits and wet foods, they are probably getting plenty of fluids anyway. My daughter really didn't drink any water at all until 9 months, now she's happy to drink it (we've never offered anything else). If you were to consider juice, I certainly wouldn't do it before at least a year (and like I said, by then I'm sure you'll see they drink water quite happily).

I would definitely keep offering it, babies are fickle things as I'm sure you know!

Pheebs wasn't keen at first but now she guzzles her water xxx

My LO has unlimited access to water throughout the day. Her straw cup follows her round like magic lol.

If you find you need to give a flavour to water then I'd do it yourself. A few cucumber strips in a jug of water, or lemon segments. I'd never give baby juice / cordial as there's no need.
