Ive barely had any sleep because ive been having really intense pains all night, all around my bump top, bottom and sides like extreme crampy feelings. Ive been up since 6am throwing up but had no more pains and not had any blood.

My mum thinks that I should phone just to let them make the judgement to whether it sounds like a stragne stomach bug or something more serious.

I didnt eat anything dodgey either,a banana, half a tuna sandwich for lunch at work, a jacket potato with cheese, tuna and salad (washed) at home for tea. Then a bowl of fruit (washed) with a yogurt on it.

x

I would give her a call just to settle ur mind, sounds like you've picked up a bug. I've bn off work for 3 weeks with same thing and my doc said it was viral infection, although it took me a week and a half to finally make an appointment oopps xx

i would listen to your mum (they usually do know best!) Call the midwife.. if nothing else, at least it will put your mind at rest! :hugs:

I would call, it will ease your mind and its good just to let them know whats going on.

I'd call too. It's probably a nasty bug, but better safe than sorry. :)

This is what im like, I don tike to call them straight away as its probably nothing and I feel like im wasting peoples time!
xx

Definitely call! Even just to put your mind at ease, hope you feel better soon

Well that was no help at all. I phoned the number my midwife gave me and it was labour ward so i asked if I could be put through to the early pregnancy unit... but theres no one in there at weekends (aparently no one has pregnancy problems during the weekend), so she got a midwife to come to the phone. I explained everything and her reply was 'sorry we dont deal with ladies under 20 weeks pregnant see your GP'. Well my GP is closed until monday. So much for reassurance! I might not be 20 weeks but im still bloody pregnant!

Go to the castle walk in centre chick. just to get checked over. xxxx

That's what am like but everyone was telling me to ring midwife and I was like I will see what I am like tomorrow everyday lol. What's the point in mw giving us these numbers at booking in appointment to call if any problems if they wnt deal with u if ur less than 20 weeks? Bloody stupid aren't they. Hope ur feeling better soon xx

Hey Hun have you tried nhs direct?

Can't believe they said they couldn't help as you were under 20 weeks... How ridiculous!

Hope you're feeling better x

That's awful!
Have you got a gp out of hours you could ring?

i had the same sort of problem when i was 16 weeks but mine was a small bleed !! rang them and they told me they couldtn deal with me because i wasnt 20 weeks yet !! its insane! your still pregnant and they should still be dealing with your conerns !

We ended up ringing NHS direct though and actually spoke to a midwife there and she was fantastic ! definatly give them a call xx

I'm so shocked to hear that some midwives won't speak to you before 20 weeks if you're worried. I rang up the labour ward when I was 16 weeks and they were fantastic.

On my pregnancy notes it says before 20 weeks to call your gp or go to A&E for stomach pains. I thought all gp's had an out of hours surgery. I'd definitely try and speak to someone to give you reassurance. I hope all is ok.

I had this a few weeks ago, exactly the same. It turned out to be the winter vomiting bug. Not fun, but if you can keep hydrated lo will be fine. Feel better soon x
