Doctor visits tomorrow

Well.......I'm so anxious for my doctor visits tomorrow. I meet with the regular OB at 9:00 am and then it's off to the perinatalogist at 11:00.

Hoping to get to hear or see this little one who has my body growing all over the place !

I have a couple of questions......it's been SO long since I have been pregnant, I can't remember anything.

**Can you typically hear the heart beat at 9+3 on a doppler? I figure if they can't they'll do another scan.....which leads me to my 2nd question......at 9 weeks will they still do a transvaginal ultrasound? It's not that bad, but if given a choice.....I'd most certainly choose the abdominal one .**

I'm still quite nervous....but trying to fake not being nervous ! So, all thoughts, prayers, & positive vibes are much appreciated .

Best wishes for a great appt. tomorrow! I don't know the answers to either one of your questions as a doppler was first used on me at 13 weeks when I went in for an unscheduled appt for incessant migraines...My 1st scan at 7w was transvaginal but my 12w n/t scan was abdominal.

I do not know if they can hear baby on doppler at 9wks. And for the vaginal one, it just depends on if they can see baby on the outside or not. They will try there first, but if they can't find baby, they'll have to go vaginal. Which isn't that bad really. It doesn't hurt or anything.

Good luck!!! I know with a doppler, depending on how good it is, can pick up the hb at 10-12 weeks at the earliest Ive experianced. On my 4th pg, it took longer because the placenta was posterior. Im guessing it lso depends on how much tummy fat is in the way I think this time for me might take till 20 weeks or so to hear it that way, if thats true.
