doctors. feeling miserable

I posted a thread a few days ago saying that i got a call from the doctors asking me to go in. I had to change the appointment, cos i couldnt make the one they made, and i had to go into day.

Well my usual nurse is off sick, so i had to see another one and she was horrible!!!

They wanted me to go in because they wanted to tell me that im not as far along as they thought, im only 6weeks not 8. (need to change myticker! lol!)
But then she was a complete cow and basically told me that because im fat and overweight (in her words "as you have a ridiculous weight problem") and because i had a miscarriage not so long ago, theres about a 70% chance im going to micarry this one too!.

So now im feeling miserable!

And i cant wait to see my normal nurse so i can complain about just how horrible that lady was! I dont get how she cant see that its a hard thing to hear!. grrrr!

If I were you I'd compain about what she said to you and refuse to see her in the future. She had no right to worry you llike that.

I know! And i will! My OH is going to come next time, to make sure i do!
I was already upset since she said i wasnt as far along as i thought, but that was just mean! but i refused to cry infront of her, but then burst into tears in the car on the way home!.

I usualy would have, but i was trying not to cry!. Cos she was basically saying my babys going to die! so i was tryng to hold back the tears!

OMG! What a nasty thing to say to you. Some doctors have absolutely no social skills or tact. I am so sorry you had to go through that!

With my first pregnancy I had the most horrible gynecologist. I should have known to get another when I would go in for my appointments and I felt very uncomfortable with her. My delivery was horrible too!

With my second, I made sure I didn't have the same one, and certainly with this pregnancy too.

my goodness thats just EVIL... i can't imagin how your feeling right now, the fear thats in most of our heart, to hear it from a person of trust must be heart breaking but just think about it when bean is born and you see that horrid lady, you can stick your fingers up and say NER NER NER NER NER ;0)

I was already really worried about why they wanted me to go in, and then to hear all this!! Does she not get that my hormones are already all over the place?!

I've gone from hurt to anger now! lol

It was just so horrible to hear.

I'd JUST managed to convince myself that my miscarriage was a horrible accident, and then she blamed me!

Some people are just horrible!!

But dont worry i Will prove her wrong!

Im sorry but what a complete bitch, I mean how dare she say such a thing. I think I would have smacked her one. To actually imply it was your fault is completly unexceptable, certainly not one of the most plesent people god turned out. Make sure you dont see her again, pregnancy is a stressful enough buisness with hormones, cravings and sickness, with out some jumped up little twat telling you all sorts of nasty rubbish. Forget about her hunni, she obviously isnt worth the bother. But deffo complain. xxxxxxx

believe me, i was trying to restrain myslef, but i was also trying to not cry! wasnt going to give her the satisfaction!!

That's so out of order, you can't predict miscarriage and she had no right to say that to you. I think i would definitley complain i can't beleive how insensitive some of these people are considering the profession they are in!! Hope your ok x
