Ok, so I have a docs app tomro at 3.30 to confirm this pregnancy, but will I be given a blood test just by asking for one, to make sure everything is ok? I've never had a positive on a digi with any of my other pregnancies, I had faint lines for a few days, then bfns, then started bleeding, but this one seems to be going well (up to now!)

It's not my usual doctor, and I don't want her to fob me off and tell me to wait a few more weeks, I'll go off my head! Can I ask to be refered to EPU for an early scan? Would I even see anything this early? (4.6 tomro), last time I went to the docs pregnant they sent me straight up for a scan, but their test was negative and there was nothing to be saw on the screen, so they couldnt even document it as a miscarrige (dispite my 20-odd positive tests!)

I'm just freaking out and havn't a clue how Im gona get through another 35 weeks!

Also,is it normal to be peeing quite so much this early on? Literally every 15/20 minutes, beginning to wonder if I have a kidney infection!

Thanks girls! :)

hiya

congratulations on this pregnancy

In view of your history I would ask for an epu referral - they wont normally arrrange it till your approx 6 weeks tho unless you are bleeding or in pain

good luck

Hun, at 4.6 weeks there would be nothing to see on a scan. However, if you can wait for at least a few more weeks, there is more chance they will find something. It feels like everyday is torture now, I felt exactly the same but somehow you hold on to sanity! I can't promise there won't be tears and upset, but you will get their chica. We are all here to chat with if you need a friend.

My doctor really wasn't interested until after 8 weeks, but hopefully they will be kinder :hugs:

Thanks hun :) He refered me to the midwife tomro at 11am, so I'll know abit more tomro!!!

Hi Lizzie, congrats on your BFP! Hope that the midwife was helpful. They say it's best to wait until 6 weeks or more for the first scan, as before then it can be too early to see a heartbeat and it can add to the stress. The digis that say how far along you are can be good for getting through the first few weeks.

Best wishes.

Hi Lizzie, congrats on your bfp! I just got a bfp yesterday after having a miscarriage on 18th May and am terrified! am so glad your dr has referred you onto a midwife, hopefully you will be able to get an early scan in a week or two to put your mind at rest. nice to see another NI girl on here xxx
