Does a light line mean you're close to ovulating..or not?

This is the first time using an opk and I got a faint test line and dark control. Just wondering if this means ovulation would be soonish, or do some people have faint lines all the time except for when they get an LH surge? I've had a miscarriage so no idea what CD I'm on

nope, there is always LH in your system and when it's light it's normal. You are only Oing if the test line is darker or as dark as the control line.
