I love love love my OB. This man is simply the best. So caring, professional and always on the ball. He's old yet has an eagle eye! Picked up on a very difficult diagnosis as of 10 weeks. He does all his own deliveries and has been for 40 years. Just feeling very blessed to have him. Anyone else just love Their dr?

I love mine too! He's hilarious and has hair past his mid-back that he keeps in a low ponytail. He's treated us like precious glass after our two miscarriages and won't take chances on anything...offering all of the (non-invasive) tests to give us peace of mind. I've also been on baby aspirin and progesterone the whole time. I don't know what has made this baby stick, but I feel like I'm in good hands. <3

Yep, love mine!!! I strongly disliked my last OB and that office. They treated me like a number and never cared about me or my losses. I switched during my last pregnancy and lost that baby and my Dr has been incredible. Doing everything possible for me. reassurance when needed. Delivers her own patients and is just the most amazing Dr and practice I've ever seen!! So badly wish I would have found them sooner!!!

Haha totally not...My OB isn't bad but not very caring or on the lookout for problems. Just average.
Glad your OB is fantastic though! :)

Luckily I am seeing midwifes too. They take 45 mins for every appointment and answer all questions :)

I loved the OB I had with my first, he was so relaxed and actually listened to what I wanted (and actually took time to get to know hubby too). I was sad to not see him anymore!

I have a midwife this time around and she is the complete opposite and makes me want to pull my hair out, ugh.

Glad you have such a great provider! :)

I have a midwife and love her! She is very proactive and on top of things. I had a uti at 14 weeks and she retested me to make sure it was gone, she called me at almost 8pm on Friday night to give me my test results and instructions for another prescription. I have scoliosis in my back and she wanted me to meet with an anesthesiologist in case I want an epidural, this wasn't offered with my first and it would have been helpful cause I got stuck several times by one anesthesiologist before their boss came in and got me on the first try. She is seriously amazing and so helpful.

I really thing a good provider can make all the difference!

I have a really nice nurse practitioner. She's so sympathetic and acknowledges that my last birth was terrifying and that it sucks I'm still sick at 19 weeks. She also knows her stuff and is always right on the ball with what I told her last time. I seriously think she's amazing. I wish all medical people could be so nice.

So good to see that there are amazing care providers out there!
Ive only seen an ob once and that was withy last pregnancy as i had bleeding in the beginning. Once i was in the clear i sacked him for mw clinic. He was awful, old and just next to no bedside manner at all. He actually retired last year due to health issues so i won't even have to worry about seeing him at all in the hospital lol I actually seen an ob for a few weeks in the mw clinic just to check on my thyroid issues and while he was nice i was just another number to him.
The midwives aren't very good either, appts are like 5 mins. Check bp, ask if im feeling well, check hb and position, out the door. Its not even a busy mat ward so i don't know what the rush is.

Oh no! That's too bad!!

my whole team is amazing. My hospital is less than four minutes from my house. (my husband loves this). and everybody at the hospital is just wonderful. I never have to wait and my ob is this teeny little indian lady who believes in empowering women. She is completely sharp. she returns my calls. not the nurse not the PA but she calls me back. I feel so good about having my baby there. I have heard so many bad stories about doctor patient relationships but, I feel like a person they all know and remember me, heck they even remember my husbands name, where we work where we are from. I really feel very secure there.
