Ok so with Ophelia I used a mixture of Avent and mothercare bottles and never had an issue..
For bump I've got a few new Avent bottles but mostly the Tommee Tippee CTN ones (only because they were on offer in Asda) but now I only keep reading bad things about them?
Are they that bad!?Does anyone like them?
Please tell me honestly because if they're terrible I'd rather just sell them now and use the money to buy chocolate.:munch:
xxxxxxxx

i love my TT CTN bottles, although i find the bpa free teats kyle makes invert alot but thats proberly because he needs the next size now

I love the old ones, its the BPA free ones that are hard work as they are soft, don't have clear markings and leak.
I did discover why the teats kept going funny on mine though, the valve was sealed! It says not to stick anything through them, so when washing I just rinse it, but last night I squeezed it from the inside and it opened up properly. Since then, it hasn't collapsed :)

My OH squeezed our valves as well last wk and its stopped the teats collapsing as you say!
I think they are ok btls but if i had my time again i would buy a different type lol

Thats the thread that made me think I'd made a bad choice buying them! xxx

I used the ones that were out with Lily first off and have to say I didn't have a good experience with them hun, I think it was mainly to do with Lily being a very windy baby and she got terrible wind from them. I put her on the dr browns and they helped a lot. I'm not sure which ones are out now but they might be better and like I said I think I would have had these problems with any bottles that weren't anti colic with Lily. I bought some more dr browns for Jack just because I trust them now and chances are Jack will have the same problems Lily had with wind :(

Thanks girls.
I think you're right about sticking with the ones you know and trust Embo,I think I'm probably going to get rid of these TT ones I've got already and just stock up on Avent.Atleast I know I've never had a problem with them.xxx

I like them, they made Freya have less wind than the Avent ones, which I thought were awful. I have had no probs with the TT CTN bottles.

I love them, Mailie loves them too! We have the older type though with the black writing on the side not the clear.

I love ours. Had no problem at all. Weve had the older type and switched to the new BPA free.
I dont find the numbers a problem. You have to look at any bottle carefully to check the water level anyway.
The teats have only collapsed when we were using size 1 and really needed to change. The valve stops the teat from collapsing and needs to be checked for damage (and blockages) just like the rest of the teat.

TBH I think its all to do with personal preference and what works for you and baby. :)

the old CTN bottles were fantastic, the newer bottles are rubbish, i have written an email of compliant to TT and so far have yet to receive a responsse, i wouldnt buy them to be honest again as you cannot see the markings, the teats collapse, they leak loads aarrggghh bring back the old bottles!!!!

I love them and the anti colic ones are fantastic. I have had no problems at all and find it okay reading the BPA free ones, I would recommend then, you just need to check the valves. I didn't like the Avent ones at all. Take care :hugs: XX

zanes had Tommee Tippee bottles from the start n ive never had any problems with them apart from when zane used to push the teat in with his tongue lol

Hi,

My little girl is 6 & a half weeks old. At the start I was using Tommee Tippee bottles. Unfortuntely, she began to suffer really badly with wind so I was forced to change to Dr. Brown bottles.

Had she not been so colicky, I would've stayed with Tommee Tippee as I think they look nice and are handy for cleaning etc..

Apart from the wind-thing, the only fault I found with them was that when you're filling them with water, it's VERY hard to see how much you're putting in as the markings on the bottles are EXTREMELY faint and hard to see!!! It's just a little annoying, that's all! All I'd say to you is, they're bought now so try them and see how you get on. Worst case scenario, you may need to change bottles at some point.. not the end of the world!

Btw.. I found no leakages whatsoever with these bottles which is defo a plus in comparison to avent bottles (in my experience)!!

Imogen has them and I think they're fab :D

I love the tommee tippee bottles had no problems with them atall touch wood!! My friend has avent bottles and does nothing but complain about them!!!

i only use tt ctn bc bubby refuses to drink from other bottles lol i brought a whole bunch of avent bottles and she wont touch them she agreed with them twice, the downside of avent for me was her not liking them and i noticed she had more wind than when using tt but the thing i dont like bout tt ctn is the arnt as easy to clean i think the valve in the teats arnt easy to clean and also the shape of the bottle itself, but i guess theres pros and cons in everything also the new bpa free ones i noticed the teats tend to invert
