Does it look like these FIBROIDS could have affected my pregnancy loss?

My miscarriage was determined to be caused by an infection, but I am curious to know whether these fibroids are an issue. I didn't know I had any until the day I miscarried, which is why they concern me. I know a lot of times they are harmless. But I really want to try to get pregnant again soon and don't like the idea of surgery to have them removed, unless of course it is absolutely necessary for the health of my pregnancies.

I won't see my doctor again for a couple of weeks probably. She hasn't seen these photos yet ( I just started seeing her after the miscarriage) so I'm sure she'll give me some answers, but I'm just looking for insight from other ladies who may know about this.

Thanks :)

I'm so very sorry for your loss!

I don't have any experience with this, but I didn't want to read and run without a reply :hugs: I really hope you get some answers and if need be, a solution.

All I can say is that a lot of women have them without any problems. My mum had them in her 2nd and 3rd pregnancies without any problems. Eventually she had a hysterectomy because they were causing heavy bleeding but she was in her 60s by then.

It is probably worth asking your doctor about it though. I think fibroids can cause problems sometimes.

Ask your doctor. I just got my pelvic ultrasound results back and I have 2 small fibroids, my primary doctor says it won't cause fertility problems, but I plan to ask my gyn about it.

I would go and have detailed ultrasounds (including a sonohysterogram) to map out your fibroids and identify what type and size each of them is.

I had two surgeries for fibroids. Depending on the type and location they could be completely unrelated to miscarriage/infertility or they could be a major cause. Definitely look into it before TTCing again, can save you a lot of grief in the long run.
