I'm really struggling with nursing agitation. Have been for months. But still offer boob a few times a day (dd is 16 months and needs bottles too now as my supply is practically nil)

I find it awful, toe curling, want to throw her off which makes me feel so guilty. Especially as its mainly just comfort sucking. I'm worried it will transfer to the new baby? Any experience? Also, is it likely to stop with dd1 once new baby is here as once my milk comes in I want her to properly nurse again til she's about 2

Help, it's really getting me down :(

I've been researching this too as I'm pregnant too! I believe once the new baby comes the milky hormones are flowing again and the pain leaves. :)

I dont know but I stopped about a month ago because I felt the same way you do. I just wanted to get her off, it was suffucating, and sometimes I would take her off before she was finished which would just result in a massive melt down. I felt so guilty but it wasnt fair to keep going. I hope some one replies with some knowledge and you manage to get through it!

It eased off for me the moment Arthur was born. I have never experienced agitation with Arthur, although I do get it mildly with Alice still.

It was so intense when I was pregnant I could visualise hurling her off me, and I wanted to writhe around as she nursed. Having a count down helped me a lot as I felt more in control.

been pregnant twice while breastfeeding, the hormones really do make it irritating the feeding. But I know when this baby comes that feeling goes.

Thank you, I really hope it does go. It's the worst sensation :(

:hugs: One other tip, make sure you're really well hydrated. I found it was a lot worse if I'd not had enough to drink.

Ahh that could help I know I'm not drinking enough as when I do I literally feel like I need to pee constantly due to baby being low. Midwife told me off last week based on urine colour!!

I was worried the nursing aversion would stick around post birth as well, but have had no issues.
