last yr i put a couple of things in it, this yr ive heard on r radio that dnt just think of kids ......... so this yr im sorting out all my make up that ive never opened and will never used :?

i hate to think of sum1 opening nothing/sat with no one at xmas time
theres a 94 yr old man who lives near us , bless him , i make dinners and take him 1 over a few times a wk cos hes on his own, he has carers but says he gets sick of seeing them:haha:

does ur town have a giving tree? if so do u put anything in it ?x

I know i've just said it to you but i publically want to say that is so so nice of you giving meals to that old man louise and I'm so proud of you!!

we probably do have a giving tree but it will be up the city shopping centre if we did have one, i try and stay away from there at the best of times as it gets so busy and xmas will be even more so! but if i find out there is one i would make a special trip

aww louisa :)

listern to ur local radio station see wot there saying , if they do take it in to the station thingy X?

Never heard of one before, but its a great idea. It actually breaks my heart to think of anyone alone at christmas.

I want to cry when i see people eating alone

Our town doesn't have one but our church does. You take a tag off it and that tells you what gender and age to buy for. You take the gifts to the church and the St Vincent de Paul group distributes them.

our town does the same but you take the
gifts to radio station/church/school wherever
there's a collection point  x

its gud 2 know  i wud hate to think someone on there own or kids with nothing

we have them in shops the local radio station is running something called the toy appeal. I will be putting something in before it finishes. Its really sad to think some children dont get a present, I think if I knew of any locally id have the whole family round christmas with gifts for them all lol. Everybody should feel the special-ness (is that even a word lol) of christmas, especially children x

i dont think we have one but if we did id donate must be horrible to be alone at christmas ive never thought of it before xx

No, I dont think so but its a great idea. I'm going to start doing the shoeboxes too. My mum used to do them when we were little but I missed teh cut off date for this yr.

I dont think we have anything like that but it would be so nice to be able to give something to someone who doesnt have anything at all to open. I dont like to think that while I am sitting with all my family and enjoying the festivities there is someone there who cant do that..

I dont think there is any in this area, i wonder if there is somewhere i can find out about it?

aww im so glad theres one here then nice to feel im doing my bit,,,,,albeit not much

We have The Santa Appeal, you ring you andthey give you the name and age of a child and you buy for them...it's for all the kids in our area in care or refuges etc where they don't get much if anything..so sad. x
