So my sister had DD to look after and said that we don't feed her a lot of food. So now I am all in a panic that we aren't giving enough. This is what our day looks like:
Breakfast is 8 spoons of baby cereal made with whole milk and some of my banana
Mid morning snack- toast but she doesn't eat a great deal
Lunch- fruit pot by hipp or someone and one or two little yogurts
Snacks- raisins, Cheerios type inks, goodies crisps and apricot. Plus anything we are eating she will try
Tea- 6 good tea spoons of meat, carb and veg

She will also have 30oz of milk

I want to do something more for lunch but don't know what.

Anyone have any idea if this is enough or what else I should be doing??

I think that is a substantial amount of food for a 8 month old and a very balanced diet! My girls haven't been so keen at all so all I give them is cereal for breakfast, fruit for lunch and soup (made with protein and veg) for dinner. They won't take more than that at the moment. I'm hoping to get to where you're at in another month or so. My friends baby was EBF until 1 and he is a big healthy 2 year old now with a VERY healthy appetite. Don't worry!

Definitely more than enough! You're doing everything right! :) xx

Trying to think about a typical day for Emilia (nearly 8 months) -

about 5.30/6am - 210ml bottle (can drink anything from the whole amount to half)
8-8.30am - half a weetabix with either formula or milk. will eat all of that.
mid morning snack - biscuit or half an apricot/other fruit or sometimes a bottle (210ml)
lunch - usually a sandwich (egg, bovril, salmon) plus either half an apricot or a yogurt, sometimes a slice of quiche
afternoon snack - bottle (210ml)
dinner - sachet dinner (beef stew/fish pie/spag bol) plus pudding
bedtime bottle (210ml)

so looking at it, Emilia eats more, but then she's a big baby and has always had a big appetite

It sounds like you are giving and offering plenty, I would say I give me lo similar amounts. Don't forget the saying that food before one is for fun, with milk being their main source of food for the min. As long as your lo is becoming familiar with food and meal routines then you're doing well :) People are far too opinionated lol

I think that's more than enough!

My LO has 2 8 oz bottles per day.

He has porridge for breakfast, a yoghurt or half a banana about 10.30am. He has lunch, which is usually an ellas kitchen pouch with a yoghurt or fruit. In the afternoon, he only has a small snack and unfortunately, his favourite seems to be wotsits just now. For dinner, he has whatever we are having and some jelly/ice cream/fruit.

seems ok to me but baby will let you know. We feed her until she doesn't want any more and either keep any left over for later or eat it ourselves.
If you're worried you could try giving her more and seeing when she doesn't want it, ie turns her head, closes mouth, bats away the food.

It's hard not to worry when other people comment, I know I always do! But you know your LO best, and if everything is working for you then don't try to change things. You'd know if it wasn't right and your routine sounds fine, mine is similar except you offer much more variety :). Keep going :)

Your baby will let you know when she's full. For instance I notice you say 6 teaspoons or another measured amount - my philosophy is keep going until my LO says no. So it may be more or less some days - you don't have to stop at 6 tsps if she's still going, is what I'm saying. Other than that I think you are doing great - excellent sounding diet!

Your baby will let you know if they want/ need more! :hugs:
My LO can eat a child's portion in a restaurant but my friend LO who is 9 months will only eat 1/4 of it......every baby different.....mines is a glutton :haha:

My lo has:
8 oz bottle and large bowl of ready brek
6 oz bottle, yogurt and banana.
She'll have some fruit in clevafeed during the day.
Lo isn't big into dinners so she'll have maybe 10/15 spoons of dinner and 6 oz bottle
8oz bottle and bed.

Half 8-9am a rusk with 3 spoons of baby porridge made with formula and a 6oz bottle
12-1 dinner (pasta or veg with cheese sauce or gravy) sometimes beans or spaghetti hoops if I feel lazy lol with water or watered down juice
3-4 a yogurt or custard pot and biscuit with a 5oz bottle
6-7 6oz bottle
9-10 6oz bottle which he usually goes to bed with :)

He won't eat anymore than that without being sick
