Hey folks. I thought I'd update my situation since last time I posted I was in a dark place.
So, to recap, I had my baby, terrible failed induction at 43 weeks that led to a C section, which I moaned about here. Then I had hives, a fever of 38.6 C and then a uterine infection that landed me in the hospital for two nights where I had an IV drip and was separated from my baby. Then due to his large size and needing tons of food, plus the C section, plus my infection and separation, breastfeeding has been ridiculous. So I'm breastfeeding, on meds to increase supply, plus formula feeding and I accept I won't ever catch up.
And know what? It's okay. All of it is fine. My baby is awesome. He's chill and alert and chubby. At 2.5 weeks he's sleeping up to five hours. It's like he went through the newborn stage in the womb. No one believes he's so young. He's over 10 pounds now and looks almost 2 months old. I swear he's starting to smile.
And I know I never have to go through it again. I never have to be pregnant ever ever ever again. I don't miss it one iota. Life is so good. Also, I'm 3 pounds from my pre pregnancy weight. Granted, the infection burned most of it off, which was not good, but I'll take it because I figure I've earned some good luck.
Here's my boy a week ago. It took a little time, but I've bonded.
