Doppler but no gel... what to use? edit pg 2 found hb! :-)

I have conceive plus lube, will that work? I've also heard good things about baby oil.... what about lotion? It's a Hi Bebe doppler.

All of those should work or I was going to suggest Vaseline. You just need something to help it glide x

I used baby oil throughout my last pregnancy when using my angelsounds and it worked fine....kept my tummy nice and soft and helped to keep the stretchmarks at bay too xxx

I use a baby oil gel that works great.... it's a little bit less messy than regular baby oil, I find.

DO NOT use vaseline or baby oil, that will ruin the probe, at least that is what my doppler instructions say. I would use something along the lines of a waterbase lube like KY, etc. that is what I use!

Mine says not to use any "oil" based lotions or lubes and that KY Jelly is the best if you ran out since it is water based. Just try and get any air bubbles out that form when you put it on... creates static.

So far I've had no luck! I can find my hb and the whoosh of the placenta (Dh said "sounds windy in there!") and I think I caught the baby's hb a couple of times for a second or two near the placenta but couldn't get it clearly humph lol. Enough to know baby is ok though I think!

Any tips?

I always go near the pelvic bone and push the doppler probe onto it, sometimes it takes me 5-10 minutes to find it!

We just heard it! Lucky actually we heard me, then the placenta, then bubba lovely and clear. Funny as I had no chAnce last night. Probably best when I have just woken up! headphones helped too imo
