Dr Brown's bottles won't fit in steriliser

Hi ladies. I bought some Dr Brown's bottles today. Trouble is I'm using the Tommee Tippee microwave steam steriliser and it has all the compartment bits for the different bottle parts to be placed in. The Dr Brown's bottles won't stand up in the compartments, they're too tall and the lid won't shut. If I put them in on their side just loose, will they still be sterilised ok?

Thanks :)

I would think so... you're still washing them so there's not milk etc that's gonna stay in them, and the lid closes if they're on their side??

We have exactly the same, we usually use cold water sterilising in it now, or if we do use it in the microwave we put them on their sides

Is it the new style microwave one or the microwave and cold water one?

I could only fit 2 comfortably in the one I've got (microwave and cold water). I bought the Dr Browns microwave steriliser and the Dr Browns travel caps which you can get from Amazon so now what I do is sterilise 4 bottles and travel caps in the dr browns one and make the bottles up and store in the fridge. I put the teats, vent, funnel etc in the cold water one. When he wants a bottle I heat it a bit with the cap on coz they leak with the rest of it on and then get the bits out of the cold water one. I like the flexibility of the cold water one as it means I can put dummies in and out of during the day.
