Does anyone use these? Ive just bought some as i was previously using tommee tippee closer to nature bottles and my little boy had terrible wind etc. i read about the dr browns ones and bought some. my lo seems a bit happier today but he might just be having a good day.
Does anyone else have any experience with these bottles? just wondering what other people thought about them xx

I have definitely noticed a difference in Toby's wind since switching to Dr Brown's, although sometimes he still has the odd windy feed! I am still wondering whether its also got something to do with the fact he is just growing out of his wind issues now... he's 14-weeks and I left it until 12-weeks to buy Dr Brown's when his wind issues started at 6-weeks! The cost put me off but I should have just gone for it to begin with!!!

Im using Dr.Browns since she was 3 weeks and I have to say they made a huge difference. We do have an odd "windy day" but not near as bad as she used to be.
Only thing about them is that you cant shake the food in it so its better to make up a feed in another bottle and then transfer it into Dr.Browns one. x

i used tommee tippee till day 3 and changed to dr browns and she hasnt ever had a problem with wind thank god not sure if it was bottles or not but the first 2 days was awful after the change over she was great!

I think they are great!!! Zack has been using them for about 3 weeks and it was a massive change in amount of wind!

My MW has literally just recommended them to me. She said DON'T use Avent because newborns struggle to feed properly. She said Dr Browns are the best because they reduce air bubbles.
How do you make them up if you can't shake the mix inside the bottle?

I used to make up a feed in avent bottles i had and then transfer into dr.browns ones but someone on here actually advised stiring the food instead of shakin it so thats what i do now. Sooo much easier lol.

yeah, stirring it instead of shaking it reduces the air bubbles and foam in the feed. Dr Browns bottles, i'd recommend to everyone. We bought about 4 sets of bottles before these ones to try to save money, but we'd have been cheaper in the long run just buying the expensive ones!

Yeah, I have the Dr. Browns ones.. natural flow or something along those lines?

I love them, I don't use them as much anymore now because Elyse likes to hold her own bottle and they're too heavy/awkward for her to manage on her own!

I used the tommee tippee closer to nature ones first, and Mia was terrible on them. Had so much wind and would scream the place down with it being trapped. Someone advised dr browns so I got them, They have helped her alot. She still gets a decent amount of wind, but alot less than she was and she is no longer screaming with the trapped wind anymore.

I just got these today as Ruby has been really bad with wind on the Avent bottles, just put one in the bottle warmer and all the milk has come out of it!! Does any one know the best way to warm them up?

in a jug of hot water. we cool ours down in a jug of cold water.

also, don't screw the lids on to heat up or cool down. the pressure from the milk heating up or cooling down can damage the seals between the teat and the plastic, and make them leak.

we have just changed to the MAM ultivent anti colic ones and we are amazed at the reduction in wind / discomfort! they work much on the same principle, only they have a vent at the bottom for the air to come out so the pressure stays the same inside the bottle.

i just take the top off and take the tube out,and put it back together when its heated. i dont shake them i just swirl the milk around before i put the lids on
